We've installed LMS 3.0 and successfully did the device discovery & data collection but we often observe that the latency increases when we ping to the core 6509 switch.
We found that the cpu processor is shooting to 99% mostly due to the SNMP ENGINE process, once we stop LMS services the SNMP process goes down to 0%.
Did anyone came across a similar issue with LMS? If yes kindly share your experience to solve this problem.
Note: We have scheduled all the device discovery, data collection to be done during off peak hours.
Thnaks & Regards,
Syed

Check to see if the LMS solution polls your 6509 for the whole routing table or ARP table this can cause high cpu utilization.
If this is the case just filter the polling procedure of the LMS server.
Take care
