AVAYA voice problem via VPN

jorjes1984

Level 1

A client is trying to test voice over IP connectivity between 2 Avaya PBX's in 2 different branches.

IPSEC 3DES VPN is configured between the 2 branches, HO has an ASA5510 and branch has a PIX515 (version 6.2)

Full IP connectivity between the 2 sites is configured and tested.

The problem is that the AVAYA PBX in the HO (ASA) is able to call and talk to the other pbx in the branch(PIX), but when initiating the call from the branch,

the call setup is not working, and he gets directly a busy tone.

I tried to remove all the inspections on both firewall, but still had the same problem

Can you post your fixup portion configs from the PIX?

Dar Jhon,

thank you for your reply,

But this is not the scenario that I have as

the voice packets are passing between two branches in IPSEC VPN tunnel terminated one side on a PIX and the other side on an ASA.

So it is a remote Access VPN where the AVAYA IP Phone connected via internet to the pix.

Best regards,

Is your phone switch on the ASA side or the PIX side? Is the phone on the PIX side?

Its not just 1 phone

In the HO(behind the ASA), their is an AVAYA PBX and in the branch (behind the PIX) their is an IP office(some kind of small pbx)
