Router for Branch Office with PPTP Tunnel

Unanswered Question
Dec 1st, 2008

I am searching for a Router to connect a branch Office with 3 Desks to our Headquater via a PPTP Tunnel. The Router has to create the VPN Tunnel to our Windows Server based PPTP Server. The 3 Desks shall be able to access Headquaters Network through the Tunnel without establishing a VPN connection by themselves.

We have a A-DSL COnnection in the Branch Office with a DSL Modem where the Router has to be connected.

Which Router can be used for that? Is it possible with a CISCO 871?

I have this problem too.

Yes !!

You can use Cisco 871 it supports IPSec VPN with 3DES or AES.

It also supports Cisco Easy VPN Client and Server

HTH...rate if helpful..

Thank you Satish.

The VPN is not an IPSec VPN but a PPTP VPN Server. Can i create a PPTP Tunnel with the Cisco 871 as well?

Or do i use the Cisco Easy VPN Client for that?
