We use a Call Handler so the Head of one of Departments can record a message and get the staff in the Department to dial this extension and they can then listen to the message. However he wants to record a long message this time (possibly 15 minutes) but after recording his message, he gets the Unity message lady saying "To Play the Standard greeting......"
Then we copy the WAV file into another call handler and do when the staff dials the Call Handler number they hear the message without having to enter in any passwords etc...
Is there an option, setting in Unity to extend this from two minutes to twenty minutes.
Unity Version is 4.0(5)
I hope this makes sense.
My understanding is that the Greeting Length for a Call Handler is determined by the COS of the person recording the Greeting. Have a look;
Class of Service Greetings Settings
The class of service greetings setting specifies the maximum length of greetings.
Subscribers > Class of Service > Greetings Page
Maximum Greeting Length in Seconds
Select the recording length allowed to subscribers assigned to this COS for recording greetings.
The range is 1 to 999 seconds; the default is 90 seconds.
If enabled, a warning tone will sound before the maximum greeting length is reached.
Hope this helps!
