7911 Second Line

I have a 7911 phone, and I would like to add a second DN to it. I'm on CCM 6.

It looks like there is a spot for the DN, however the up down select button just goes to speed dials when you press it. I know this can be done in CME, is there a way to do this in Call Manager?

I'm guessing that in CME you are using something like "Overlays" to accomplish this type of setup which is not available in CCM. The spot that you are seeing when you scroll up and down is actually reserved for the Privacy Button and cannot be used for anything else.


The only way to "simulate" a second line on a 7911 in CCM is to configure the new line/DN as a CTI-RP that is setup to Call Forward All to the existing 7911 Line 1 DN. You should receive the proper CLID when call route through this new DN so that the call can be answered appropriately.
