Restricting access to VPN

Is there a way to restrict user access to VPN. It seems that all a user needs is a configured VPN client and an AD accout for authentication. Is there a way to configure a group within ACS and place only authorized users into it. ASA has been configured for VPN access to our internal net.

There are many ways you can by implementing different types of strategies such as vpn filters, or Dynamic access policies and AD, but first not everyone can just simply install VPN and getin your network with AD account, after all RA users would first need tunnel group authentication before AD authentication kicks in. So if you do not have tunnel group authentication but stright AD authentication that is a security risk.

Yes we do have tunnel group authentication. It is quite easy for someone to give the preconfigured VPN client, which has the access groups and authenetication password built in, to another person with an AD account, this has happend before. We have tried denying access to VPN via their AD account/properties, but the user is still prompted to authenticate username/password

You could use Digital certificates, go over this link, you can issues certficate to match a device ,have more control of who vpns and from what source, you have the ability to revoke digital certificates.. as I understand certificate cannot be copied from machine to machine.
