I have a ASA 5520 with 4 interfaces i want to configure one interface with a public ip address to be my vpn interface howerver i have another interface that is my outside interface that overlaps with my vpn interface any ideas?

You may try configuring Configure a new IP LOCAL POOL which doesn't overlap with the inside subnet.
