Hi
1)I have one VLAN which contains 254 servers means i am going to use /24 for entire VLAN.
2) That VLAN will not communicate to other VLAN.
3) That VLAN will have huge traffic internally.
My question: Single can handle 254 servers with huge traffic(Internally) or any performance issue??

I suppose that all these vlan will be at 1 location.
In that case use switches with fastethernet port with Gigabit uplink and connect these switches
together, use dedicated switches for this vlan only so that no other vlan traffic come to this switch.
for better performace you could go for Gigabit ports as well.

Hi,
All the servers will be in one VLAN.
There is no inter VLAN routing.
Switches will have single VLAN only.

I think its more a matter of what platform you are going to be using to switch this traffic rather than one vlan being able to handle traffic?

In my opinion thats too small a switch to handle that kind of load . Thats the low end of the cisco line. I would have at least a 4506 chassis to run all servers.
