I have two AP 1240s at a site, both with the same firmware and configuration, and all users are configured correctly to connect to the network. AP 2 is having some type of issue that is not allowing a complete connection to some of the users. If user A is near AP 1 he connects fine, but when he roams to AP 2, he gets a 169. ip address. Other users can roam fine between the APs with no issues.
As of right now, I have 3 users that are connecting perfectly fine to AP2, but have two users that are getting a 169 IP. When they roam to AP1, they pull a valid IP address. I have tried upgrading the wireless card drivers on one of the users laptops, but still cannot get him to connect to AP2 correctly.
Cisco 1240 APs, Dell Latitude 620 laptops, using the Dell wireless utility with 802.1X authentication.
Good on one AP, bad on the other. But multiple users connect fine to both Aps.
Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?
