problem accessing PIX using ADSM 5.1

I am unable to accesss PIX using ADSm 5.1, after I logon, the error message show up: ASDM is unable to read the configuration from the PIX, please check the configuration and your connection and then try again by clicking the refresh icon.

I have turned off all the firewall... and it still got problem. I can telnet into the PIX...

I have uninstall and reinstall again as well.

any idea?

What version of IOS are you running on the firewall? There are specific version of ASDM to IOS.

Hello Rachel,

Make sure the user you are loging in has enough privilege level. Try with a priv 15 user or enable password by leaving username blank and entering enable password to password section.

The problem has been resolved now, it was due to the JAVA problem. it started working again after downgrade the java version.
