3750E license upgradation ( Evaluation)

Hi

I have tried evaluation license to 3750E base image to IP service . When i install license i am getting the following error.

Can anybody tell me is there any other steps needs to follow .

Dinesh,

You've followed the correct steps, I've seen this before and we had to get Cisco to regenerate the license file, one thing worth checking is that when generating the file the correct serial number was used, you can check this by using the "show inventory"

I got a license ipservices with correct s/no . When I installed the license still I can see only Ip base is enabled.

The current IOS version iam using is ""c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-40.SE.bin""

Do i have to change my IOS ?

Other thing is my licesne file name is ""FDO1136V06N_20081207115615843.lic,do i need to change to ""FDO1136V06N_20081207115615843-ips"". Pls help me .

Hello,

Are you sure that FD01136V06N is your serial number? When I search for it, the serial number does not come up.

However, I changed the first 0 to an O and your serial number comes up.

Please ask the person who generated the license to create a new one with FDO1136V06N as the serial number. Please copy it exactly as is.

You don't need to change your IOS or change the filename, please see below for an example on screen output for installing the license:

Switch#license install flash:SERIAL NO:_20080724031619725.lic

Installing licenses from "flash:SER NO:_20080724031619725.lic"

Installing...Feature:ipservices...Successful:Supported

1/1 licenses were successfully installed

0/1 licenses were existing licenses

0/1 licenses were failed to install

You can then issue the "show license detail" command and this will tell you that IPSERVICES has correctly been installed and will load after you reboot the switch, as Michael says the file may have been generated using the incorrect serial number.
