Hi Team
DHCP is configured in the router and all the Windows XP and win98 systems are able to obtain IP from DHCP. but windows vista is unable to obtain IP from DHCP. We have tested the same Vista laptop with another Cisco 871 router and found working properly. We are experiencing the same problem with Cisco 1841 router also.
Regards

Hello Vaibhav,
Is the Cisco router configured to send broadcasts or unicast Dhcp Offers? By default Vista has DHCP packets sent with the broadcast flag set.

So, check on the router whether it is configured to send Dhcp offers as broadcasts as well. If not, you will have to make that change.
Hope it helps.
