Lost ring type on 7912 phones

Hi,


I have recently upgraded CM6.1.2 for customer. All 7912 phones lost last 4 ring type after upgrade, but 7940/60 phones still have all ring type. Does anybody know how to bring these lost ring type back for 7912 phones?

Hey Steve,


How many rings are configured for use? I believe the 7912 only supports 24 rings unlike the 7940/7960's which support 50. Maybe the ringlist needs to be re-ordered after the upgrade.

You are right. I found the last four ring type are replaced by cisco ring type. How to configure the ringlist to re-order this? customer like to have the last 4 ring type to replace cisco's

You can modify configuration files (for example, edit the xml files) and add customized files (for example, custom ring tones, call back tones, phone backgrounds) to the TFTP directory. You can modify files and add customized files to the TFTP directory in Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration, from the TFTP Server File Upload window. Refer to Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration Guide for information about how to upload files to the TFTP folder on a Cisco Unified Communications Manager server.


You can obtain a copy of the Ringlist.xml and List.xml files from the system using the following admin command-line interface (CLI) "file" commands:


•admin:file


-file list*


-file view*


-file search*


-file get*


-file dump*


-file tail*


-file delete*
