Hello,

Please specify what switch platform you are using.

Normally with show platform commands, they are not documented because they're used for low-level troubleshooting.

Can you elaborate on what problem are you trying to solve by looking at these commands?

Hello,

My platform is Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750G-24TS.

Output of

show platform port-asic stats miscellaneous

is

Port-asic Misc Statistics

=====================================

TxBufferFullDropCount 0

TxBufferFrameDescBadCrc16DropCount 0

TxBufferBandwidthDropCount 0

TxQueueBandwidthDropCount 0

TxQueueMissedDropStatistics 0

SneakQueueDropCount 0

RxBufferDropDestIndexCount 1274650

LearningQueueOverflowFrames 0

LearningCamSkipCount 0

ReceivePortFifoFullDropStats[0 ]: 0

ReceivePortFifoFullDropStats[1 ]: 0

ReceivePortFifoFullDropStats[2 ]: 0

ReceivePortFifoFullDropStats[3 ]: 0

May be it is not problem but

RxBufferDropDestIndexCount

is not empty and it grow.

Hello,

RxBufferDropDestIndexCount is a global counter (for all the ports in the asic) of various frames that were dropped on ingress. This could be due to various reasons like frames received on an STP blocked port, frames that violate port-security and many more such cases.

So this is typically normal to see on a switch and nothing to worry about unless you suspect a problem with dropped traffic.

On another point we have Catalyst 3560.

And on it another counter is not ziro and it also grow.
