LMS 3.1 Windows - TFTP server

Can the TFTP server installed by CiscoWorks be accessed outside of the application. When I try to send a config to the CiscoWorks server manually from a switch, I get a message:

%Error opening tftp://wdcma215/rtpwdc-bir-sx01-confg (Permission denied)

Can it be enabled to be accessed? Read-only would be OK. Thanks.

Yes, the TFTP server can be used outside of LMS. However, like many TFTP implementations, you need to create any file you want to write BEFORE copying it from the device. So, to TFTP a file called rtpwdc-bir-sx01-confg from a switch to the LMS server, you would need to create an empty rtpwdc-bir-sx01-confg in the tftpboot directory first. Then you will be able to write it from the switch to the server.

Thanks, that did the trick.
