MPLS VPN updates

Hi,

We are using BGP as PE and CE routing protocol in MPLS VPN. We are using RR for VPNV4 Routes propagation. when ever the link fails and restoers, routes from the CE Router are being recived through BGP, but until and unless we do soft reset with RR,recieved VPNV4 routes are not being advertised.

Kindly let me know what could be the reason and what has to be done to resolve.

Hello Rajesh,

what you have described isn't normal behaviour.

If you like you can post a filtered version of the configuration of CE, PE and RRS.

Also check with

show ip bgp vpnv4 all

a) in the initial scenario

b) after link failure

c) after restore without having performed any reset

May be the RRS is receving other advertisements that it is preferring after link failure.

What topology have you got in your site ?

a single CE to single PE or

a single CE To two PEs
