Hi all. I have a cisco asa 5510 which i could not telnet to the inside interface. I have enabled "telnet 172.20.0.0 255.255.0.0 inside" and "passwd password" commands but it could not work. Secondly i would like to know why i could ping my external interface from internet even though my access list did not specifically allow it. Pls advise what is missing, thks in advance.

Also, you can try to put in "icmp deny any outside" to keep this from happening.
