WAVE - disk allocation

Hi,

I understand that the way how the disks are partitioned for DRE/WAFS varies according to different models.

Does anyone have any info regarding the new WAVE appliances? DRE vs WAFS vs Virtual blade?

When the VB is enabled, it requires a reload. Once reloaded the disk is repartioned for DRE, CIFS and VB.

The number of Virtual Blades supported and the total disk capacity available for Virtual Blade allocation varies with the WAE or WAVE device model and the amount of memory available on the device:

Platform VBs HD (GB)

WAVE-274 1 35

WAVE-474 1 35

WAVE-574/3GB 1 60

WAVE-574 /6GB 3 180

WAE-674 /4GB 3 120

WAE-674 /8GB 3 200
