CUE Scripting

Unanswered Question

I would like to learn more about CUE scripting. I don't see any class or books offered. Where is the best place to learn about CUE scripting? I have download the admin guides but they are more of references than actual learning guides.

I have this problem too.

I have not seen many specific CUE scripting reference guides. This is an example of one I have found:

However I use the UCCx guides. Obviously there are a lot of elements that won't be applicable to CUE, but there are a lot that is similar or the same.

Hope this helps,

Best place is probably the regular documentation:

Find the "Guide to Writing and Editing Scripts" or equivalent for your CUE release.

There's also some docs here:

In particular, don't forget about the Editor Express feature. Personally, that's where I'd encourage people to start learning. It's very simple to use and you don't even need the external script editor. Then to make the jump to more advanced scripting, you can download those scripts and view them in the regular script editor.

This one was written in the 2.x timeframe:

It's still good for the basics, although some things have been improved in the product (new SIP stack with different transfer methods so that you can actually get Busy/Unavail status when redirecting).

Note that none of this covers the IVR scripting, which is a separate feature for CUE and allows external database access from a script and other more advanced features. Only real place for that is the regular documentation link above and some examples that are posted with the CUE software itself.
