Hi
I have an 6509 Switch(with FWSM and IDSM).Please let me know if i can retrive the IDSM events via CiscoIME for monitoring

Yes you can do it, no doubt about that.
With 6.0.x you can only monitor events. If you want to do resource/health monitoring and configuration changes you need to run 6.1.x or higher on your IDSM blades.

yes you can do that..
If ur sensor version is 6.2.X use IME version-6.2.1

Hello,
You can do that with IME..
make sure that you fine tune your IDS signatures... Else your IME will stop recieving alerts from IDSM & you require a restart everytime..
