Hi All,
In the Unity Connection 2.x Administration Guide, in its "Configuring Access to Exchange E-mails Through TTS (IMAP)" it is said:
- For each user, create an external service account in Connection that specifies the Exchange server on which the mailbox for the user is stored. This enables the user to access their e-mail when they log on to Connection by phone.
Question: Does it need to be an individual account created for each user or it is possible to use one general account (e.g. IMAP Service account) for all users?
Thanks!

Alexander,
Wording is kind of confusing there... you'll just create one external service account that acts as the proxy for all of the users between UC and Exchange.

Hi Brad,
Thanks a lot for the quick answer. We did actually try to use the general External Service account for the users but the system did not accept it - it could not test successfully IMAP credentials for it. Though if we are using a personal user's account everything works fine. This was the actual reason for my question. Do you have any idea why out general IMAP account is not working for the users?
Regards,
Alex.
