ciscopca with Internet Explorer

Does anyone know why ciscopca (personal communicator assistant) is unable to be launched with Internet Explorer. It works with Mozilla Firefox. Unity is 5.0(1). IE is version 6.X. IE complains that it does not trust the publisher for the media master and then fail. Any workaaround?
