cannot issue ip policy route-map to an interface

Hi There

I am currenlty trying to apply a basic route map to an interface on a 3750. I set the sdm prefer routing command and rebooted the switch.I now have number of IPv4 policy based routing aces: 512 in the #sh sdm but I still dont have access to the command #ip policy would anyone have any suggestions

your interface must be a L3 one(using no switchport command).

is it a L3 interface?

Of course thank you. Its actually an L2 port channel in trunk mode. Back to the drawing board I think
