Dear all,

RT, it's very strange. Did any one meet that situation please?

Internet----Gateway(Cisco router)----CiscoSwitch----My end point

When my end point is a PC connected, and ping to the gateway, it's fine. But when it switched back to the C851, after ping the gateway, the return of !!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!., with 25% loss happened.

and I really don't know how could that happened.

Thanks for your kind Tips in advance.

:-)

hello Hai,

if I understood correctly if the PC is directly connected to the C851 you get 100% success if there is the switch in the middle you get 75%.

What is the Cisco switch ?

verify the statistics of involved switch ports (the one to the PC and the one to the router)

or are you using a C851 like a switch ?

use

show int fas0/x

check if there are errors.

and if they increment accordingly to your losses.

verify the duplex and speed settings on all devices : PC NIC, Router Lan port, the two switch ports

Hope to help

Giuseppe
