Location Appliance 2700 Password Recovery

Hi All-

Inherited 2700 Location Appliance, but not the credentials to login. I have attempted the recovery per Cisco document 82161. The actual appliance boot steps don't seem to match the document. I'm pressing 'Esc' to crash out of the boot sequence to no avail. Any ideas?
