I have an HP DL320 G5 418044-001. I am trying to install MPE 2.0.3 on it and I receive the error message of "Unknown platform for checking harddisk."
Even though this server is older this should be a supported model for installation.

Update:
I tried to install CUCM 7 just to see what it would do. It sees the machine as a MCS-7828-H3-2133. I can install CUCM 7, CUCMBE 7, or Unity Connection.
This is not an unsupported platform.

The other error that I get is "Error detecting proper harddrive configuration" What is the proper harddrive configuration? I know that this is a supported platform.
Can anyone help on this?

Your server is the configuration equivalent of the Cisco MCS 7825-H3. Going by the part number you gave, that indicates it was purchased thru an HP reseller. It is, technically, a supported platform - but you will need to verify your hardware specs (as-is) vs. info in the following links. If everything adds up, then it may be worth a TAC case to discuss. In particular, verify the RAM and number of disk drives.
