Solved: How to avoid LMS tries to connect to Internet

Hi,

if we look in the Windows event log viewer we can see failed messages because LMS is trying to connect to Internet searching for Cisco updates. The server cannot connect to Internet so we want to disable these connections attempts.

How can we do it?

You can modify NMSROOT/lib/classpath/com/cisco/nm/cmf/servlet/DesktopServlet.props, and increase the ccoMsgPollTimeHrs time to a very large number. This will prevent LMS from continually trying to download the message file from Cisco.com. You could also change the URL to a bogus internal one if you wanted.
