Unanswered Question

Do you still need to licence each AP in enterprise mesh or just the contoller as the ordering guide only shows controller licencing and pricing?

If so is that in addition to the controller licence?

Any part numbers for 1242AG licence?

The original Q&A was saying that it was like $500 an access point for each one to be converted to EWM.

However, the final pricing structure became just a controller license. Here is the list price based on controller

2106

AIR-AP-LIC-M-6

$500

2112

AIR-AP-LIC-M-12

$750

2125

AIR-AP-LIC-M-25

$1,500

WLCM-25*

AIR-AP-LIC-M-25

$1,500

WLCM-50*

AIR-AP-LIC-M-50

$2,500

4402-12

AIR-AP-LIC-M-12

$750

4402-25

AIR-AP-LIC-M-25

$1,500

4402-50

AIR-AP-LIC-M-50

$2,500

4404-100

AIR-AP-LIC-M-100

$4,000

WiSM-300

AIR-AP-LIC-M-300

$12,000

So if you have a 4402-25, then it will be $1500 for the license (list). If you have more than 3 EWM APs, then you are getting out cheaper than the original pricing. But if you have lets says a 4402-50, and only 3 EWM, then it's costing you more.

I'm not sure with the 5.x code, but last I heard, the license is not actually implemented in the software yet.

Thanks very much, I was thinking it was an old pricing structure that was in the Q&A as the ordering guide is dated later.
