Hi,

I recently bought a 7931 and am using it with callmanager ver 6.

The problem is that the transfer button on the phones just dont come on.

I have tried all manner of softkey configurations but the key is not coming on.

It is so bad because it is a secretarie's phone and she therefore has to do a lot of transfers.

I don't what the problem is i have tried the same custom softkey on other phone types and it works ok.

Am confused, the client is on my case.

Someone tell me what could be happening,i also tried another new 7931 phone and the same button is not working.

What have i not done?Is there something that should be configured somewhere.

please help.

Hi Nickolas,

Have you checked the "Max Calls" setting on your DN in Callmanager?

Rob

Where is such a setting found?

Hi Nickolas,

Sorry about that :)

From CCM Admin (on the DN Config page towards the bottom);

Device> Phone> Selected DN of 7931> Directory Number Configuration> Multiple Call / Call Waiting Settings> Maximum Number of Calls (needs to be greater than 1)

Hope this helps!

Rob

Thank for this info,

Unfortunately the client was closing for christmas break on the thursday evening.

There is nothing much i can do to help now.

But this will be the first thing i'll check immediately he resumes in january,

I will let you know of the outcome.

Thanks a lot for your timely assistance.

Could you please shed some light on gatekeeper intergaration on a callmanager cluster. Both the configs to be made on the gatekeeper and also the configs to be put on the callmanager-am having such an issue somewhere.

Thanks a lot once again.

Hallo,

Thanks a lot,this worked-now i can transfer freely on the 7931.

Now i have one problem-whenever we dial PSTN numbers from our IP phones, most of the time we receive a sound like dooooh-at the phone screen it shows the call as connected.

I have tried an IOS upgrade it does not help either-i took an analog phone and plugged it on the trunks and it works fine.

The phones connect to a callmanager, then to the voice gateway which finally connects to the PSTN.

This is in Rwanda.

These are part of the configs on the voice gateway.
