Java is a funny thing when it comes to resolving IPs to hostnames. Your DNS must have a one-to-one mapping, and the NMSROOT/bin/resolver.pl script must show that the IP properly resolves. You might try adding an entry for one of the devices to the server's local hosts file, then remove the device from DFM, and re-sync it from DCR.
