suppose we have 4 vlans 2,3,4,5 and they are in instance 10....if i want to make a perticular switch root for these vlans i will config them in mst instance 10 and then i can do root...for example

mst instance 10 vlan 2,3,4,5 root primary

i was looking at config and they have used prority 0 instaed of root primary what is the difference or is it a same thing???? what is the default prority and if we write 0 what happenes....thanks guys for looking

Hello khan,

0 is the lowest possible priority value so the practical effect is the same.

the root primary is actually a macro that is executed once
