CUPM Pre-installation Preparation Work - Install Open SSL

Unanswered Question

Referring to the CUPM 1.2 Installation Guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_unified_provisioning_manager/1.2/Installation/guide/PMinstll.html#wp1067902

The CUPM is going to be installed in E drive. Accordingly, I install the Win32 OpenSSL v0.9.7m in E:\OpenSSL.

Since CUPM has not been installed yet, I created the folder E:\CUPM\httpd\conf

Then, I run step 3 but it give me the following error.

E:\OpenSSL\bin\openss1.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Please let me know what could be wrong?

I have this problem too.

This error occurs when all of the following conditions are true:

- You chose a different installation directory from a default installation directory.

- The selected path contains a space, and the folder name with the space does not exist.

- Short name capability is disabled. By default, Windows supports the ability to create short names when a directory or folder name contains more than eight characters and a three-character extension. For example, D:\Program Files can be abbreviated by the system as D:\Progra~1. This capability must be enabled if you want to install Provisioning Manager in a directory with spaces other than the default directory.
