C1250 AP Power Requirement Using POE

Hi,

I have questions regarding the C1250 AP.

-What are the POE power requirement for the AP and will the Cisco 3560 and 4900 have the correct POE power to support them?

-Also, do I need power injector for using in-line power from the switch? Another word if using POE, can I connect the Ethernet cable from the switch port directly into the AP Ethernet port without the power injector?

Really appreciated for any information.

Other than power injector the 3 choices for Switch PoE power;

1) PoE IEEE 802.3af (today) up to 15.4 watts, won't fully power 1250

2) PoE+ IEEE 802.3at (future 2009) up to 30 watts using WS-X4648-RJ45V+E

3) Cisco Enhanced PoE (today proprietary via CDP on 3705E/6500 today) for between 15.4 watts up to 20 watts for 1250

This example shows how to configure a port to supply 20w to an attached device:

1250 with a single radio either 802.11a/n or 802.11bg/n

Basically, you can use any 802.3af switch to power the 1250, as long as you are intending to use just 1 radio. If you did this, there would be no power injector and there for the AP could just have an ethernet cable from the ap to the switch.

However, if you intend to use two radios, the power exceeds 15.4w (maximum 802.3af) which means you have to use a special power injector for this or local power. Alternatively, I think there are a few switches that support this "high power mode" but I don't know what they are...
