SSH issue in 2940

Hi,

Currently i am using c2940-i6k2l2q4-mz[1].121-22.EA10 in which i am not able to enable SSH for remote login, c2940-i6k2l2q4-mz[1].121-22.EA12.bin, but it give an error PERMISSION DENIED.

Please let me know what IOS version will support SSH & from where do i can download that IOS for my 8-100 Mbps & 1 Gigabit (cisco C-2940- 8TT-S

That is a correct crypto version to support the ssh function . It must be a config problem . Make sure you have allowed ssh on the vty lines.

basic steps are

ip domain name

crypto key generate rsa

key size 1024

line vty 0 15

transport input SSH

Hi,

Its giving me to install Ip domain name, but not giving me to install the Crypto in configuration mode & also in line vty.

I have tried using .E10b.bin & E4a.bin

in E12.bin which i mentioned earlier, when try to boot, it gives me Permission Denied & boot from E10b.bin file.

This is the crypto version , if this is what you have on your boxes it should work . The filename has to be exact . I have this same version working with SSH on 2940's .

Crypto version (SSH)

c2940-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA10a.bin

non crypto version (no SSH)

c2940-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA10a.bin
