I know that there is that chart for most routers but is there one that shows the same for switches? and Etherswitch Modules?

The Mpps rating for the various 3750 tops out at 38.7 Mpps. Those with lessor ratings appear to be wire speed or line rate for the number of ports supported by the switch. This holds for up to about 24 Gig ports or so. I would guess the network modules might support wire speed or line rate since most(?) offer mainly FE ports. (This is guess is also supported by the first bullet point from the question I posted.)

Switch performance reference attached. (Haven't seen similar for Ethernet Switch Modules.)

Thanks

maybe someone who has seen one for ES Modules can post here

(Es not ESW as ES can do inter-vlan routing independent of the router)

Since the NME-XD-24ES-1S-P supports Stackwise, my guess would be modules would support similar performance to the 3570 series.

Within http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps5854/prod_qas0900aecd8028d16a_ps5855_Products_Q_and_A_Item.html, you can see:

Q. What are the features of the EtherSwitch service modules?

A. For an exhaustive list of switch-side features, please visit the Cisco Catalyst 3750 and Catalyst 3750-E product pages at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/index.html and http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7077/index.html.

The EtherSwitch service modules share common software and features with the Cisco Catalyst 3750 and Catalyst 3750-E Series of desktop switches. Specific features that result from integration in the router are:

• Full feature, wire-speed Layer 2 and near-wire-speed Layer 3 IP switching on the blade, with the router engine available to forward traffic to the WAN interfaces and process non-IP traffic

• Stateful firewall, intrusion prevention, and network analysis for all traffic processed by the router

• Wire-speed IP router access control lists (RACLs) on the switch modules, full Layer 3 and 4 ACLs on the hosting router for non-IP traffic

Yes but which one?

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/prod_models_comparison.html

the Mpps varies from 6.5 to 38.7 for the 3750(non-e)

The Mpps rating for the various 3750 tops out at 38.7 Mpps. Those with lessor ratings appear to be wire speed or line rate for the number of ports supported by the switch. Ok thanks
