Hi Chris,

This doc is okay, but it does not describe how to upgrade a cluster.

With the windows versions there was always a more or less fool-prove process (boot publisher - then you can start subcriber..".

I kind of miss that in the new docs - they just tell how to find the media (DVD or SFTP).

Cheers,Martin

Well, it's still the same idea, upgrade the Pub and then move on to the subs.

Chris

just to add to the great info from Chris

Hi,

Below is the procedure in brief:-

1. Check the CUCM Version Compatibility with the Upgrade Version.

2.Take a complete Disaster Recovery Backup of the Publisher Server using a SFTP Server that is always accessible through the Network.

3.Navigate to the OS Administration on the Publisher Server, Login to the OS Administration Page

Click on Software Upgrade -> Install/Upgrade

Use the DVD Media if you are upgrading from the DVD

If you are upgrading from the Remote File System, enter the below:

Directory /

Server x.x.x.x

User Name (SFTP/FTP Username)

User Password (SFTP/FTP Password)

Transfer Protocol:- SFTP/FTP

Click on Next

4. You should see the Upgrade File

5. Continue with the Wizard (if you would like to complete the upgrade automatically, choose to boot to upgraded Partition, else you can do a manual switchover

Settings - Version- Switch Version to boot to the Upgraded Partition).

6. Only upon booting to the upgraded partition, start the Subscriber Upgrade.

Thanks and Regards
