1)Are packets with qos fields cef-switched or switched by layer 3 forwarding engine?

Hi Sarah,
Yes they are cef switched is most cases, because packets with QOS fields have the DS field or TOS byte marked in the IP header. So, the normal CEF rules apply except when it is not supported by CEF (adjacency that requires special handling).
