I have had an issue this morning where a DHCP pool on a switch 4509 would not

assign IP addresses to the IP phone and system. I was trying to install.

I was getting the following messages from debug

Aug 11 12:04:13.271 CET: DHCPD: DHCPDISCVER received from client

0100.13c3.15ba.ee on interface Vlan30.

Aug 11 12:04:13.271 CET: DHCPD: address pool ipphone is empty.

It looks like your DHCP pool has already allocated all it's available addresses and so has none left to allocate to the ip phone/system.

Did you check the status of your IP address pool - perhaps you have gone over the limit for the number of devices supported by that ip pool and you need a new one or perhaps there is an issue with IP addresses being released back to the 4500 when they are no longer in use ?
