Customer says he upgraded to LMS3.1 some months ago and had imported his exclusion file for the last couple of months with no issues but today it is having an issue and brings up the following error messahe :

Unable to import device exclusion file from Common Services.

The following steps are used when importing exclusion file:

Step 1

Go to Common Services/Device and Credentials/Device management/

Step 2

Click on Exclude Tab

Step 3

Click on the Browse Tab

Step 4

Select the following path: D:/LocalApp/CISCOW~1/CSCOpx

Step 5

Select the file which contains list of devices to be excluded which is in csv format.

Refer to attached file for current format used as exclusion file in csv format

Step 6

Click apply

Then......the following error is received form CiscoWorks:

Error in opening exclude file D:/LocalApp/CISCOW~1/CSCOpx/CW2000_Device_Exclusion.csv.

Please check whether the file name and path are correct. Also check whether this file has the proper casuser permissions.
