HI guys, i got ws-c4224v-8fxs switch here and try my new 7975g on this. The phone wont boot. I have 2 other phone (7940) connected to it and power inline. Someone could tell me if the phone will boot power inline with that switch. Tks for help.
The problem here is that the ws-c4224v-8fxs was EoL before the standards for PoE were ratified and 802.1af PoE became the Industry standard. This switch only supports Cisco Pre-Standard PoE and the 7975 requires at least Class 3 power as supplied by the newer Cisco Models (3560, 3750 etc.)Cisco Pre-Standard power works fine for older IP Phone models like the 7940/7960's.
