error message in VSS

Hi,

I have 2 Catalyst 6500 working as VSS.

After making an upgrade of IOS (current: s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI.bin) gives the following error message:

SW1_SP: Insertion of mld_s_g_type in the tree failed WAVL grp

I searched information about this message but I have not found anything, someone who knows it?

If I am not mistaken this points to an internal software error. I would gather all the info and open a TAC case.

I will see if I can find some info on it.

You could also run show tech-support and see if anything shows up on that, you will need to run it for the TAC case anyway.

this error is referred only to the supervisor in sw1 and it's not the same with supervisor in sw2...

it can be due to a bad insertion of the card?

It could be. I did some further checking and the WAVL does point to a software issue but I could not find the exact error anywhere. It could be some type of bug. We run VSS here but we are not running that IOS we use advipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXH3.bin

I would open a TAC case if you can or maybe reload the software as maybe it got corupt.
