Problem with backup-CallManager Version 4.2.1

Hi Guys,

I did the backup the Cisco CallManager and when I am trying restore in another machine is appearing the following messages:

CCM.exe - Application Error

The instruction at “0x0442e8a7” referenced memory at “0x00000000”. The memory could not be “read”'

Click on OK to terminate the program

After click ok appear another message error

CTIManager.exe - Application Error

The instruction at “0x102fe8a7” referenced memory at “0x00000000”. The memory could not be “read”'

Click on OK to terminate the program

After click ok appear another message error

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program: C:\Program Files\Cisco\bin\CallBackService.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in na unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

exact CUCM version as backup?

CCM services all running?

have you tried a simple reboot?

reinstalling BARS?

I am sorry for answer only now. We did all the procedure, but, didn't solve the problem. We will go install the software again.

Hi Wilson,

Hope all is well my friend! Just to add a note to the good tips from our friend Java (+5 Java!) Here is a good doc that has all the info for doing Backups and then restoring on the new box using the .tar file;

Make sure that you have everything you need on hand CCM cd's, OS with proper release,all SR's, Locale files, any custom ringlist or background files, any phone firmware files that have changed since the base install etc. etc. These things should all be kept from build to build just in case.
