I have this command in my config

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1

but gateway of last resort was not set, and this route is not show when I do "sho route" command.

I try remove it and add it again, no luck.

Usually this is due that next hop router is not reachable, can you confirm that next hop router is connected to same network as the outside interface IP?

Can you from the firewall ping the default route?

route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1

I think you are right.

This ASA is not in production. I was just running some test on it. It is not connected to the network.

I will try later when I have chance to plug it in the network.

Glad to help.. once next hop router is reachable/connected route will be visible in routing table, otherwise it will not show up.
