3845 with ver 12.4(13r)T doesnt allow to add max session in transcode prof

im trying to add a transcoding profile in cisco 3845 voice router to be used with CCM 5.1 and im able to add profile but when i try to specify max sessions the only option im getting is 0-0 also codec command gives me no options

also this version of IOS doenst have option to define CCM 5.1+ and higest supported CCM is 4.1 while my CCM is 5.1

any idea what could be the issue

can i use this router for transcoding or not do i need IOS upgrade or is it some other problem

first thing i would check is if you have enough DSP resources for what you want

Java is correct, you do not have sufficient DSPs, as to the CM version, it will register even if you specify older version of CM.

If you can post "sh diag" and "sh run", we can tell you if you have enough PVDMs in your router.

Hi Chris,

I have 3 PVDM2-64 DSP modules and currently im using 4XE1 PRIs for G.711 calls on this Voice Gateway , i think i should still be able to use DSPs for transcoding

the only issue is you're lacking configuration under voice-card 0

are you following any guide for this???

read the guide and you'll see what 2 commands you're missing. you have one but using the no form.
