There could be a variety of reasons. what version of DFM is this? If you drill into this alert in the DFM Alerts and Activities Display, what does the underlying memory event say? What type of switch is this? What version of code is it running?

LMS version is 2.0.5

Switch Version 12.2(17r)S4,

Switch type : Cisco 6509

According to this, you only have 5.5% free memory. The default free memory threshold is 15%. If this is normal for this switch, and performance and operations are not be affected, you can increase the free memory threshold in DFM under DFM > Configuration > Polling and Thresholds > Managing Thresholds.

However, if this is not normal, you might want to ask on the LAN switching forum as to what you can do to isolate the memory problem.
