I have an aironet 1231 that died the other day. I boots straight into ROMMON mode. My experience with APs is limited but I thought the command(s) below would reload the image via XMODEM but I can't seem to get it to work
!When first booting up
ap: Xmodem file system is available.
flashfs[0]: unable to allocate available block.
The system has been interrupted, or encountered an error
during initializion of the flash filesystem. The following
commands will initialize the flash filesystem, and finish
loading the operating system software:
flash_init
ether_init
tftp_init
boot
!first I enter.
ap: copy xmodem: flash:
Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...
CCBB0flash:: invalid argument
!invalid arguement made me think it wanted the file name.
ap: copy xmodem: flash:c1200-k9w7-mx.123-8.JEC
Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...
CCCBB0flash:c1200-k9w7-mx.123-8.JEC: invalid argument
ap:
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mark,
You will need to initialize the flash before the xmodem transfer takes place. Try the following
flash_init
copy xmodem: flash:c1200-k9w7-mx.123-8.JEC
