Renew my CCNA

Unanswered Question
Jan 4th, 2009

Hi,

My CCNA just expired last year (2008). I would like to re-certify. So, I have 2 questions:

1. Is the CCNA now called 640-802? 3 years ago it was 640-801

2. Can I just go with CCNA Security, and this will automatically update my CCNA?

Thanks

I have this problem too.

Hi Roman,

Sadly, you will need to start over now that your CCNA has expired. The CCNA has two flavours, either the single exam 640-802 or the 2-part exam 640-822 ICND1 with 640-816 ICND2. The pre-requisite for the CCNA Security is a valid CCNA :)

CCNA Exams

Required Exam(s)

640-802 CCNA

Or the 2 - Part Version

640-822 ICND1

640-816 ICND2

CCNA Security Prerequisites

**Valid CCNA

Hope this helps!
