Is there any way when logging into the ASA via an SSH session to change the TACACS password on the ASA itself, for instance, if the account on the ACS server has an expired password, or if its a new account and requires a change of pw upon first login, how do I accomplish this on the ASA using SSH? I know it can be done via telnet by hitting enter a couple of times at the password prompt, but I'm not sure about the ASA.

Using the user password module on ACS will allow pw on ACS to be changed.
But ssh versus telnet, same command set. If you are in priv mode you can manually change the ASA tacacs pw. But this is a device and that password should not change. Can you clarify?

You mean like this:
[Expert@P1-NGx]# ssh -l ngx1 192.168.1.1
Password:
Old Password:
New Password:
Re-enter New password:
Password Changed
