VPN session timeout

Hello,

I have 2 units of cisco 2801 routers located in location A and B and the connection is based on pure IP connection.

However, there are third party VPN gateways connected to these routers and running L2TP tunneling.

The issue is the VPN connection always experience session timeout. When I checked on the router, didn't see any crc errors and ping request with 1404 bytes has no timeout.

Can I know why?

hello chris

did you run any debug on the routers to see why it is dropping the connection ? are there no traffic from the routers, to keep the tunnel alive ? did u notice any other log messages on the routers ?
