Hi all, can anyone tell me, does ssh use ssl to encrypt the traffic or are they 2 sperate things ?

two different application protocol. ssh uses
port 22 while ssl uses port 443. They both
accomplish the same thing even though ssh
is capable of supporting AES-256 encryption.
Not sure if SSL is capable of doing that.

is ssh like a secure telnet ?

yes and much much more. You can tunnel
other protocol/applications inside the SSH
tunnel. telnet can not do that.
